Pros

I love working at Springer. It's a very innovative and efficient publisher, moreso than any other single publisher for which I've worked. My colleagues are great, and it's truly a global company, unlike other "global" companies where I've worked. Springer Nature encourages new ideas and international teamwork. More efficient workflow than anywhere else I've worked.

Cons

A bit of a quirky company, but that can be good too. It's not always intuitive how to get things done, but if one puts his or her mind to it, it's easy enough to figure out - very entrepreneurial. Salaries are on the low side, but they do negotiate to the upper end of market rate if one has leverage.

Pros

- Laid back environment - Quality publications to work with - You are not expected to work late continually. Most employees have good work/life balance - Offices are in a good location in London

Cons

- Lots of nepotism. With re restructures and mergers, lots of Senior Managers seem to be handed jobs (mainly promotions) based on who they are friends with. - Senior managers are very disconnected from middle management and below. And company strategy is not made clear. - The pay is very poor for comparative jobs.
