Salaries are honestly not great, especially for a company with so many people based in New York and London. It's a fine place to build a CV at entry-level but you likely won't get a decent wage unless you are a line manager and above. While it is improving, the company is only a couple of years removed from a merger that did not go very smoothly and caused many people to leave. There are still people that think of Springer SBM and Nature Publishing Group as separate entities and favor their former colleagues over new. Most colleagues you have to work aren’t helpful, need to watch your back all the time because people here seem to be looking out for opportunities to stab at each other. The managers and directors are all not getting along to improve things, they just fight with one another. This makes it hard for advancement The facilities and tools (internet, systems, computer and software) provided are outdated compared to competitors.
