Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our wonderful culture. I agree, it's inspiring to work in such an innovative and progressive international business. Working with open and ambitious colleagues in a collaborative environment where we celebrate success and knowing that what we do contributes to help scientists and educators find solutions to some of the world's greatest challenges. As we have grown, we have experienced change and we are focusing on investing more and more resource to help develop our talented colleagues so we all have the opportunity to grow our long term paths with Springer Nature.

Pros

Working at Springer Group is a very enriching experience: all the tools are available, there's a lot of order and it's easy to learn when you start your contract.

Cons

Pushed to an extreme level, this order and these processes are sometimes to the detriment of productivity. As a project manager, I'm relatively limited when it comes to taking decisions on my own projects. Because of a lack of autonomy and trust, certain deadlines are missed and certain external commercial relationships are damaged, which is a real shame when you're working towards a common goal. By the same token, the learning process at the start of the contract is one-sided: I show you and you watch. There is very little room for "you fly on your own wings and I'll catch you up if need be".

Thanks for sharing. We are very proud of our supportive and open culture. We do have extensive resources to help colleagues keep on top of the latest thinking and encourage everyone to be open to new ideas and develop. Interesting your point about learning, we have recently created a new learning & career hub for all global colleagues to have access to tools, tips and ideas on their development so we can improve the experiences. Our innovative and inspiring culture is rewarding and our people make it unique and a special place to make a positive impact and contribute to some of the worlds greatest challenges.

Thank you for sharing. We want Springer Nature to be a place where our people can be themselves and learn, develop and thrive in an inclusive culture. We asked our people what's important to t hem and why they enjoy working here. This led to the creation of our first employer brand; Be Part of Progress which helps us talk consistently about what we offer to attract great candidates and explain to colleagues what they can expect back from us. We review salaries regularly and benchmark against our industry peers.
