SoftwareOne markets itself as a disruptive, familiar environment with an employee first approach, in fact they talk about "employee satisfaction" at every opportunity. This is only talk. Since I joined, I saw people dropped in probation for dodgy reasons, I saw people who had left the company being talked poorly of, and I saw more obstrusiveness and politicking that I had thithertho experienced. The amount of chaos, lack of vision, constant change in direction and structure was also likely enough to quickly burn you out.
The company in general is struggling to transition to a more added-value business model, but it's stumbling in the dark. Whole departments and business lines are getting scrapped almost overnight without a clear goal in mind. The company knows that they lack the capacity to execute ambitious projects, so their strategy to meet their lofty goals is mergers and acquisitions. These are often poorly executed, and the acquired company either gets shredded or it completely takes over making the in-house employees redundant. The company also lacks innovative or disruptive product lines outside of the old licensing assessment area, and doesn't offer anything that other providers out there doesn't offer, but only usually of lower quality and standard.
Human resources also clearly doesn't see high turnover and disatisfaction as being an issue, as there is no exit survey for leavers. I was not even casually asked as for my reasons when I left.
