Pros

User-centered design and product development. Hires great people – humble, hardworking, smart, collaborative. Some of the best people I've ever worked with.

Cons

Salesforce influence over Slack is increasing, and it's unclear how much autonomy Slack will continue to have.

Pros

Great management all the way to the top at Slack.and, talented co-workers willing to share the knowledge. They go to great lengths to keep the culture the same.

Cons

There is a constant battle to keep the Salesforce culture from creeping in.

Got too big

Pros

The product was well liked by their customers. Many customers fought hard in their company to keep Slack. Salesforce is a good company and tries to do the right thing.

Cons

Sales management was very negative. There is no positive feedback or coaching. It is a constant beat down. Salesforce got so big that the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing between Slack and Salesforce. Slack Regional Managers would often complain about Salesforce and its employees on team calls.
