Pros
There are many. I think people is the biggest pro for me. The team is extremely supportive of each other and truly believes in team spirit. You do have personal goals that you should achieve but you are also measured as a team which is great when the volume of work is low. Everyone is encouraged to support each other and people genuinely do. If you ever need help all you need to do is ask and there will be plenty of people available to you. Our team leaders are also super supportive. Not only when it comes to work related issues but when personal matters arise. Management including MD are very approachable in my opinion. They know everyone by name and do show interest in you as a person. It’s great to see that. No one wants to be just a number and a person to punch in the data into computer. They are constantly looking for new ideas, improvements and as a team we are given opportunities to design our day and tasks as we see most efficiently. Yes there are processes and rules but if you see something works for you, your manager will ask you to share it with the team. Often we have presentations on best practices held by team members.
You are provided with plenty of training. Not only on software and products but on soft skills and personal improvements.
As a person who joined the company in the last 3 months from another ‘start up’ I am very surprised with the negative comments about teams, management and hr. In my experience everyone has been very friendly, approachable and encouraging. It is a pity that ones frustrations are displayed on a public forum. If you love working with enthusiastic people in a team that encourages to think outside of a box and want to be pushed to grow then SiteMinder is perfect place for you.
If you are looking for number crunching job where you don’t have to use your brain, then perhaps look elsewhere
Cons
To be honest I don’t see any. The people are super friendly
