Pros

Few consequences for failure. Almost impossible to get fired. Most customers dependant upon OEM for service so there is good customer loyalty regardless of the level of service provided. Take home pay good when overtime is considered.

Cons

Poor organization. Last minute schedule changes due to poor scheduling. Poor work/life balance. Having to deal with enraged customers angered by poor handling. A customer call-center structure that is getting worse by the day resulting in customers not being able to schedule service or get support. Excessive delays in getting pay issues resolved. Long delays in getting expenses reimbursed. Requires the use of one's personal vehicle to perform service calls. The reimbursement for this is not enough to compensate for fuel and wear and tear. You pretty much have to buy them a car for the privilege of working for them. Difficulties in getting used batteries and other used electronic gear disposed of properly. Used batteries have been known to have been left at customer sites for months.

Pros

Lots of projects to work on that have real value on the business. Just make sure to be proactive. I got experience in recruiting, on-boarding, talent management, compensation and more.

Cons

Couldn't use the workout facility - although I believe this policy has changed now. You really must be proactive to make your experience really meaningful.

Pros

International exposure working within a global company. Interesting dynamic as an established business unit within a larger foreign conglomerate.

Cons

The expectations of the parent firm are to bring APC "into the fold" when the business models are significantly different. This leads to a lot of headaches and massive shifts in the labor force between the parent and subsidiary.
