Pros

Excellent benefits, lots of advancement opportunities.

Cons

Micromanaging is becoming more prevalent. Seeing more and more outside consulting firms coming in. Not listening to long tenured employees feedback for process improvement. Seems to be going through a culture change of hiring more outside and not promoting from within

Pros

Training department expanded 10-fold and relocated to Morristown. The new facility for the training has top of the furnishings such as multiple media rooms, granite counter tops and catering of meals and breaks. Layers of mgmt. were formed to handle booking of outside trainers and the travel arrangement of so fortunate few that are able to use the facility.

Cons

No real career growth unless part of young MBA's. Company brings people from the outside in to fill most vacancies. Company vision, if you call it that, is short term in order that the numbers are made for last month, quarter, year to both impress upper mgmt. and that both the upper mgmt here and abroad get their bonuses. It is interesting to note that many of the good reviews are made by interns or short tenured employees on this site.

Pros

Great office environment, good medical benefits, work live balanced, most people leave before 6pm great place to work if you have kids. People are friendly and willing to help, seniors do take good care of the younger members. No much office politics compare to outside. Lots of training provided along the way no matter your career level with opportunities to travel and visit other AP branches. There are some opportunities for overseas work and moving within departments after working for min. 1-2 years but not certain, really depends on what comes up.

Cons

Big MNC, rigid company structure, conservative not sensitive to outside changes. Low turnover rate from mid career level onward therefore promotion is not going to happen too soon. Not much clear and structured options for career path unless you want to stick with the same department forever. What other opportunities you may have totally depends on luck so you need to keep an eye out at all times. It's easy to get a bit lost and dead ended after a while in your career development. you need to talk to as many people as you can ask around and take initiative in what you want to do. Salary it's not competitive for junior levels.
