Pros

Talented and amazing people that bust their butt (unfortunately, do not get recognized enough)

Cons

AWFUL systems with teams that can't support them. IT runs the bank (with their poor systems and practices) Does not promote a risk minded culture. Poor leadership and management. Unethical practices. Weak recruiting process and placement. People in roles that clearly aren't qualified. Micromanagers. No dress code. Bullying. Nothing gets done. There's a clash between the ones that want to do the right thing and people that don't-- seems like some people are part of a mafia and there are cover ups with issues and problems. How can you fix anything without understanding the root cause and holding certain teams/ people accountable? Lack of accountability

Pros

Solid company. Big international name. Good for starters. You have the chance to work around the world with different internal programs.

Cons

The position you take is likely to be the last you will have there. Very difficult to move around. Extremely slow the development. They do not believe in people, you are just a tool. War of egos. All teams work in silos. Lack of communication at all level. Senior management it is indifferent to the staff. They give you crumbs and they expect you to be thankful. Bonus are going down every year. There is no incentive to make any effort and your achievements go unnoticed. No investment in people development. No longer offer job security.
