Pros

Good place to learn, people you work with are generally lovely. Offices are a friendly environment and I have no regrets spending many years here.

Cons

Few roles are available to external applicants, waves of cost cutting seem to come right after one another… talent is maybe not recognised/rewarded as often as it should be

Pros

Stability and Benefits: Banks are known for offering job security, competitive salaries, and comprehensive benefits packages, including health insurance and retirement plans. Professional Development: You have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and gain exposure to complex financial data, which can greatly enhance your analytical and technical skills.

Cons

High Pressure and Deadlines: The banking sector is fast-paced and highly regulated, which can lead to significant pressure and tight deadlines, particularly during financial reporting periods. Regulatory Complexity: Navigating through strict compliance and regulatory requirements can be challenging, as data analysis must adhere to stringent standards.

Pros

Interesting big data projects. Nice place to start, develop and get hands on experience. Good place for long term commitment. You can learn Spanish quickly.

Cons

It takes long for tech stack approval. Strict data governance.
