      They say they encourage development and promote from within, but this is far from true!

      Pros

      Good pay for the area, good beneftis (although pension recently taken away)

      Cons

      So many to list: HR usually passes the buck to other people so they don't have to do anything the company says they want to promote from within and encourages development, but this is only true if you're one of a select few (and/or you know someone). political aspect of the company is overly apparent (it's not what you know, but who you know)

      Promising pipeline with products ready to be approved or recently approved

      Cons

      After being purchased by Sanofi, a shift in culture to big pharma has emerged. There are pros and cons in big pharma with the cons being the layers of stratification to get anything done. I think that the people remaining try their best to retain Genzyme's culture/values.
