Pros

> Good pay - if you have the experience you can negotiate hard for your salary and come out on top if you stick to your guns. > Bonus structure (like nowhere I've ever worked before) you're pretty much guaranteed your 10% annual bonus once you don't mess up or end up on a performance improvement plan. Easy like Sunday morning. > Nice periphery benefits - health insurance, pension contribution, phone, education allowance if you wish to return to job related study > A few snacks in the office

Cons

> Marketing Cloud - the product is a disaster. They've simply gone on a shopping spree as a company purchasing Radian6, Buddy Media, Social.com and now Exact Target but still move at a snails pace to make any sort of integration or connection between the platforms. Even having one logon for all systems would be a major step forward! > Company is not 'born social' and fails miserably at creating any sort of fun, energetic or dynamic culture / environment that give Social companies the edge at attracting or retaining talent. The culture is beyond stale with literally no collaboration between colleagues/teams and zero effort from management to improve this. > Customers are never happy, but I don't blame them (perhaps with the exception of Social.com). They struggle with the products and are often mis-sold solutions, or rather sold solutions based on a vision of a product that actually doesn't exist. There is only so much 'we are working on that for the future' a customer can hear before they up and leave to a competitor that actually delivers. > If you're someone who likes to work completely alone then this is your gig, but if you appreciate engaging with others and team work, heck, if you even appreciate people lifting their heads to say hello in the morning, then this is not the place to be for you.

Going downhill fast. Really hard on us ExactTarget employees.

Pros

I like the orange culture although its taken a hit because so many people in my department have left in the past 6 months. They hook you up with new technology every couple of years and I just got a new Dell laptop. Also snacks & drinks in the break room. Occasional Happy Hours with team members.

Cons

Been here a little over 2 years. It is good to see other current ExactTarget employees venting about similar frustrations I am having with its current state of affairs. This year has been very difficult, lots of uncertainty and a lot of turmoil at ExactTarget Indy HQ, so much so I have had many coworkers leave and take other jobs recently. Great teams are being dismantled due to the SalesForce takeover. The people who are still here are having to take on the work of the former employees along with their normal duties which makes for consistent 60+ hour work weeks. The cracks in the merger are really starting to show making for a tense and unfulfilling work environment. Sadly, I use to really love it here, truly heartbreaking to see this happen to a once great company. HR and management are unbelievably concerned with their public image and I would not doubt if most of these 5 star ratings on here were actually written by them. Lets be real here, no job is 5 stars, every job has its frustrations and downfalls. Anyone rating a corporate company 5 stars is delusional. I also notice a lot of the jobs that are being hired for currently are jobs people have recently left, which is deceiving because HR recruiters will really try to sell you on ET/SalesForce growth, which is a half-truth. Maintaining is more like it until they see how profitable the merger is, if it doesn’t meet expectations it won’t be pretty.

Pros

Great benefits, amazing 1/1/1 (equity/profits/time) model to contribute back to the world, fun technology, bright engineers. Dreamforce is a great opportunity to network and see the fruits of your labors at play, too!

Cons

Copmany is growing too quickly, possibly causing growing pains (but haven't seen it yet!)
