Pros

You can learn a lot at SAGE, they have great benefits and company events, and depending on your department/team, you can form great professional and personal relationships there.

Cons

Pay is not great, especially considering the cost of living in the locations their offices are.

Pros

Cons

Management in Editorial is too young with no real people management experience. The environment is very cliquey The only way for career progression is if someone goes on maternity leave or if you work like a slave. Wanting to be great at your job is not enough to get rewarded, you have to constantly take on lots of stuff outside your normal work and work additional hours all the time to be considered for promotion. If you don't do that then good luck maybe you will get promoted in 10 years. My weekly one to one was my line manager asking the same generic questions from a form that she was given to. On top of that that was the only time she would interact with me the rest of the time she would avoid me and only say hello when there was people around and she was forced not to ignore me. There is no training whatsover in Editorial. I was left on my own devices to figure out how to do my job. No one talks to knew staffs and nobody care about welcoming them and wanting them to feel part of a team. Because management is young they don't know how to support staff or what to do when their staff is being bullied. They also don't know how to provide training but every time you ask for training in an area they would ask to ask some else or to organise that yourself. The Editorial department is the worst I've worked in. Felt isolated and not appreciated and was bullied at several occasions. All the other departments are fine. Just don't work there if you want to work in Editorial.
