Great Place to Work - Change is good!

Pros

Great benefits, good PTO, FANTASTIC people all working at a company that is trying to grow. With the CEO who joined Sage 1+ year ago, he has a clear vision for taking this company into the next generation of servicing small to medium businesses. To do that, Sage needs to change. Not everyone embraces change. That is ok. It just means it is time for you to move on. Sage was not going to grow with the way it was organized. Many inefficiencies were in place before and now you see those obstacles finally removed. If you like solving problems and are excited about being a change agent/problem solver - this is the right place for you.

Cons

None. While there is change, the company is headed in the right direction. Can't think of anything negative to share.

Pros

Very talented people: everyone was at the top of their game. They had two releases a year and the projects are challenging.

Cons

Sage is a political minefield with a ton of hidden agendas. Advancement depends on being accepted by the inner circle. If they don't like you they gang up on you to force you to leave.

Sage is no longer a good place to work

Pros

- good pay - great benefits - can work remotely some

Cons

- the company no longer treats its employees fairly - due to a massive reorg, the company recent had extensive layoffs including top performing individuals and women out on maternity leave - the company now has many new jobs available, but those let go were not moved, just laid off - relatively new executive management is now only focused on the bottom line, not employee satisfaction or the work/life balance that Sage had earned a positive reputation for
