      A roller coaster ride, extremes of lows and highs

      1. Excellent benefits and compensation 2. Multinational exposure 3. Opportunities to travel to many many countries 4. If someone is interested in the oilfield sector, Schlumberger is the best place to be.

      Cons

      1. Less professionalism at workplace as compared to other MNCs. 2. Forget about a balanced life. Your vacations are decided by when you're needed or not, and not by your preferences to take leaves on holidays and special occasions. 3. Prepare to be a lonely traveller. 4. Harsh offshore environment.

      Great learning experiences

      Pros

      Learned much about the oil field and life style. Meet a lot of great people that are willing to help in what ever you need.

      Cons

      I am a little iffy on life work balance. There were a lot of complaints from the engineers that you have no life once you join Schlumberger. Management is switched so often that they seem lost a lot of the time.

      Pros

      You wil get to learn a lot. Everyone in SLB is very smart and helpful. They want you to success There are a lot of documents available for you to learn more. At the end of the program i found myself developed more than i though i could.

      Cons

      As an intern, I was expected to be the last one who leave the base. I had to stay and help with everything I could. Even though i had work more than 15 hours that day, they expected to see me in the base if there are activities going on. NO overtime paid! They see it as a training.
