Pros

The company has a great culture (or so I've heard) of promoting talent internally and providing their talent with opportunities for growth. They still have a more than decent benefits package, when you factor in the economic conditions and general market stability, as compared to other major corporations. The salary is decent and depending on your role, location and group, your work/life balance could go one way or another. They have a great training program and that's one thing that I really appreciate about the company.

Cons

Senior Managment, for me, is really terrible. I just landed in a bad situation where my boss is not ideal and my boss's boss, is too busy chasing his own agenda. Sometimes too many job rotations are not a good thing either and it's not necessary that you will always get an offer for a role that you were looking for. Impossible for employees to look for/post to job openings internally.

Pros

You will have to give 120% of what you can do. The company squeezes out your potentials. Provides training and career development plans.

Cons

Management changes every couple of years, lacking of professional and domain background. Interperson relationship is straight forward (read differently), lack of culture and respect.

Pros

The international mobile package is a good one if you are single and looking to travel. Base salary is not impressive, but once all of the benefits are added up it is very competitive. You get lots of good field exposure quickly and before you know it you are the go to guy on projects. Management of all levels seems approachable.

Cons

At least in smaller locations you can find yourself getting a baptism by fire so to say (put in a position of responsibility before you are properly trained or ready). This may be do to poor planning by management or project coordinators. Also, SLB can be slow to hire new people when needed. If everyone is working non stop and jobs are getting done then management will hold off on bringing new people which can really strain current employees.
