      This is my first job right after graduation. I am on International Mobile from Pakistan to Latin America (Colombia). - Good Money - Transition to a responsible adult - Financial Independence - Great start to an exciting career - Loads of learning from engineering perspective

      - Management sometimes fails to understand the 'cultural difference' being an IM employee - Lead hands may have worked only in their respective countries and hence, fail to understand you - Lead hands may treat you like 'slaves'

      Pros

      They give lots of responsibility to employees at an early age, and give you ample chances to prove yourself and move up in the company. It is a very exciting company to work for, you learn a lot, and you get to meet people from all over the world, and travel as well. In addition, Schlumberger is VERY well respected in the oil industry, and success here will open many doors for you.

      Cons

      You work a LOT. New employees can work up to 300 days per year, and the hours are long. Variable schedules also make it difficult to schedule activities outside of work and to see your family.

      Pros

      If you are single or divorced man, without any plans for future, this job is for you!!!

      Cons

      Absolutely no proper planning from line management! Field staff treated like slaves: embarking for 28 days, disembarking and after 2-3 days going offshore again! Very often people in the field do several things at the same time.., no sleep, no money no heath! Shame, for the company like that treat their people like assets!!!
