      Pros

      Very dynamic environment, they really invest large amount of money on training to be sure each individual is prepared to provide top quality services

      Cons

      When it comes to money, everything they advertise becomes just a theory. During this downturn they're planning to lay off 9000+ people and they're really getting at it. When things pick back up they'll go through another hassle trying to find someone who's capable of working in the oilfield. Seems like they're really bad at long term planning

      Pros

      If you are willing to put in a good days work everyday you will find SLB to be an excellent company to work for. With high pay, they welcome advancement, even encourage it. High HSE culture which is worth it's weight in Gold.

      Cons

      Work/life balance is non existant. You are sometimes sent into the middle of nowhere for weeks at a time and only home for 7-9 days. Kind of hard with little ones at home.

      Freedom to work, fast paced work environment, TONS of training and information available. Great opportunity to travel and meet people from across the globe.

      Cons

      The culture of the company expects you to sacrifice your life to work. Your success in the company is solely dependent on your manager at the time. The lifestyle of the field is rough and extremely unhealthy. Unfortunately, the industry and SLB breeds an environment where you cannot trust your coworkers.
