Pros

It is probably the best company to start in the oilfield. Exposure to different jobs, cultures and locations

Cons

The usual bureaucracy of any big corporation

Pros

The pay is good, but you earn every penny and then some. You get exposure to many different service lines, but sometimes that is not a good thing. It seems there is more of an emphasis on learning a little bit about numerous fields as opposed to becoming an expert in one field.

Cons

You will have absolutely no life outside work for the first 5 - 8 years. In the past I worked offshore for 6 weeks straight, had three days off then went right back and worked another 6 weeks. This is fairly common practice for new employees and seems to be on purpose to weed out the serious employees from those with less dedication. If you are single then it can work, but if you have a family it is an absolutely terrible lifestyle.
