Pros

Definitely a great foot-in-the-door if you are looking to start your career in data. Have some good clients and follow pretty good data practices on the client that I was primarily on. You will get some decent exposure to relevant technologies depending on the client they put you on.

Cons

Pay is far below the market level for almost all data roles here. Their business model seems to rely on offering new grads low-ball salaries and holding a promotion/eventual raise over their head. Overall experience heavily depends on who your manager/team is. Heard some horror stories of employees on clients that were being overworked for mediocre salaries. I had a not-so-great manager for about half my time here, then an absolutely amazing manager after that. Also seems like they push Qlik heavily on many clients, but had not heard of anyone using it outside of this firm, so not sure of the utility of having a job centered around that platform. For these reasons, you can see why they don't tend to get the best talent/brightest minds, although there are some exceptions and great people here. Lastly, I was told that I would see a raise within 6 months of being here, but when that performance review came around, nothing about that was mentioned at all. In short, I would not stay here very long.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that aspects of your time with us didn’t meet expectations, and we appreciate the honest feedback. We strive to create a supportive environment where our employees can grow quickly and meaningfully, and we recognize that manager experience and client placements can have a big impact on that. We’re continuously working on better consistency in mentorship and project alignment to ensure every team member feels supported and challenged in a healthy way. Regarding compensation and promotions, we acknowledge the importance of transparent communication and timely follow-through. We’ve been reviewing and evolving our performance and compensation processes to better reflect the market and provide clear, reliable advancement paths. We also encourage employees to speak openly with leadership or PeopleFirst if expectations aren't being met — those conversations help us improve. On the technology side, we do specialize in Qlik as one of our core capabilities, but also actively invest in developing our expertise across a broad set of tools and platforms, including Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, and others, based on client needs and evolving industry trends. We're proud of the great people here — both new and tenured — and are always striving to attract and retain the kind of talent that drives real value for clients and fulfillment for our team. We’re sorry that your experience didn’t reflect that consistently, and we wish you all the best in your future opportunities.

Pros

- Conduct biannual evaluations with salary reviews. - Good opportunity for recent graduates, particularly in the BI sector, the company's main focus. - Its major client is a leading pharmaceutical company.

Cons

- Learning stagnates after the first year without promotions or technology relocations. - Promotions are based on favoritism and personal/romantic relationships, not merit. - Some team leads lack competence, empathy, and training skills, leading to burnout and micromanagement. - Poor internal communication. - Management imposes career decisions that overlook the employees' individual growth. - Elitist culture in the Lisbon office, with disparities in treatment, expectations, and dress code. - Monitor former employees' social networks after they leave the company - No expansion outside Lisbon. - Lower training budget than Spanish offices. - Poorly planned and forced team-building activities, excluding non-Lisbon employees. - Inflexible remote work policies with pressure to work on-site. - Salaries well below the market average.
