Pros

35 hour work week and lots of amenities for employees. Beautiful campus, and reasonably good cafes all over. Excellent benefits for full time employees.

Cons

The incredible benefits afforded to the employees of SAS are a double-edged sword. If you are a contractor, you'll probably be hired without them explaining the 35 hour work week, nor will they inform you of the mandatory, unpaid holiday break. It isn't fun to find out that you'll be out a week's pay with no recourse, unexpectedly. You'll also receive lots of emails from corporate detailing exciting events and gatherings that you'll be barred from attending. There also seems to be almost no way to get hired permanently at SAS if you are a contractor. If you're hired as a contractor, it is almost certainly because they have absolutely no intention of ever permanently filling that role, no matter what they tell you.

Not a great fit if you want flexibility

Pros

Health care and dental benefits are first rate. Great coverage. Also, match on 401K. SAS is closed the week of Christmas so you have a full week off built in each year

Cons

Inflexible on vacation time when you're hired. It doesn't matter how many years experience you have, you start with 3 weeks. I found I had to put in requests months in advance since my team only allowed for 2 people out at any given time. Not a lot of perks for remote employees. You pay for your own internet, you have to pay back your health club reimbursement if you leave, you have to open a corporate credit card in your name (affects your credit). You can try to refer someone but it seems like with all the hiring freezes, management prefers to hire within. As a result, there's not a lot of new blood and new perspective.
