Pros

Good benefits/healthcare Unlimited sick time Good amount of vacation Healthcare center on site Work/life balance

Cons

Refusal to let employees work remotely post-covid. (this is the way of the Future of Work and lots of people will leave if they can't get that) Very old-school in many ways. Outdated systems Not the best/clear communication. Little opportunity for growth due to low turnover

Pros

Free candy and beer. Thats about it.

Cons

Sexist, racist and toxic. Exec band together to bully down and their product isn't nearly as good as they say it is.

Pros

Great career framework from HR Good coaching from manager and peer about how to grow till level of Sr, Developer Some great perk like car policy Always eager to bring latest technologies Transparency in company direction Latest software delivery and project management practices like Ci/CI with monthly cadence, and scrum/kanban agile (This still needs lots of improvement) Provides clear training plans when needed

Cons

Although the pros are really good there are some specific cons which need to be addressed: 1. For IC roles, growth after a certain level just stops, and management is not clear what responsibilities a Sr developer needs to perform, in order to achieve the next level 2. Many a times when things are not clear there is a clear politics at play In CI/CD one of the guiding principle is "noone is a hero", but if there is a technology change along with CI/CD, many a times the performers need to carry out regular work and also help lagging team mates. So in case there is help needed in team, it should be discussed clearly, and well accounted for during the planning. 3. Since SAS is working on latest technologies now, and SAS undertook an effort for upskilling, SAS should also raise compensation and plan for upscaling. 4. Senior resources must be kept little free so that they can take up some research items which will be fruitful for the product.
