      Pros

      Health care benefits are above average, great benefits if you have children in day care. I don't use onsite gym and only go to health care for annual physicals but a lot of people do. I suppose this is great benefits. On site cafes are convinient. I love the fact that everyone has his or her own office.

      Cons

      Salary is not as competitive as the industry and the merit increases are not rewarded to the most hard working or capable employees. Instead it is rewarded more evenly across the board. SAS is facing a lot competitors from the open sources in the Analytics market, and there is a lot of uncertainty as what is going to happen when the ceo retires.

      I worked in the federal office. Pleasant atmosphere. Always food and snacks available. HR very helpful. Good healthcare. Good home/life balance

      Cons

      Passive aggressive management. Too many people are lifers with little knowledge of other workplaces. People get promoted into jobs that they are not skilled for.
