Pros

The employees are phenomenally talented, bright and I miss them immensely. The benefits package, amenities and HQ campus environment are world class. The ability to make changes to process and challenge status quo is solid - change is generally embraced.

Cons

All that glitters is not gold. The outside world sees the media hype, but it is just another organization with flaws and its on the decline. The pay rates are inadequate when compared to others in the industry. Inconsistent standards from one division to another are morale busters. The lack of a clearly defined and communicated succession plan is detrimental to retaining quality employees and undermines client relationships -- it is primed for an acquisition particularly when Dr. Goodnight passes.

Pros

Good environment , good office space and equipment, some good managers, food is good in cafeterias , flexible hours and casual dress code . Decent work/life balance.

Cons

They think they can do no wrong, they treat the CEO like a God . There is a big network of old timers who don't seem to like new people much at all . Benefits are way overrated unless you have young kids. Pay is low.

Pros

Good benefits. It's a job. Rare layoffs.

Cons

Depending upon where you are, you may get a supervisor and/or manager who has been there a very long time, and because of close ties to owners, they'll never leave, despite incompetency. You need to simply put up with the insanity. Also, some employees are highly competitive, even if that means leaving you in the dark about needed information or grabbing credit for work you've done. Advice: Don't go to the on-site medical department if you value your privacy. Also know that everything you say will be later documented in your medical record, regardless of what it is or whether or not it has anything to do with anything. If they misunderstood something, they will argue with you rather than change the record. Someone said elsewhere in reviews, "No one ever leaves." Believe me, they do.
