Pros

Good benefits, health care on campus (In Cary)

Cons

Pay is not very competitive, benefits are getting eroded yearly, they talk about work-life balance, but they expect 60+ hours per week of work, no room for promotions or growth.

Great benefits, and work/life balance is usually great.

Cons

The sales team is a mess. Only about a fourth of sales hit their number.

Pros

Work\Life Balance is very solid. Some groups have a very healthy work environment and quality managers. If you are in NC opportunities are plenty.

Cons

SAS has a problems with releasing new products without a clear path to migration. SAS has too many products that it keeps alive; this has diluted its focus. SAS has no problems getting a "C" in certain product areas which can be frustrating for people that Sell and engineer that product. SAS has some BUs that have created a very organized system to promote very specific individuals and marginalize the value of people outside the good old boys network.
