Pros

Beautiful campus. Delicious food with a wide range of options. Easy 35 hour work week, no pressure to work more. People are very friendly. Huge array of amenities (gym, salon, fitness classes, running trails)

Cons

You will not be challenged at this company. If you are looking for a job where you keep your head down, perform the bare minimum of your job requirement, and just have to play politics to stay where you are, SAS is for you. Pay is well below industry average. Benefits (that are supposed to compensate for lower pay) are industry standard. Most benefits are only helpful for those with children/families. All in all, if you are looking for an easy, cushy job with okay pay where you will never be forced out, come work for SAS for the rest of your life like everyone else here. If you are looking for a dynamic, challenging environment where you learn and have lots of opportunity for growth and upward mobility, stay far far away.

Pros

Best reason to work at SSO Pune? > If you are a good boot licker or, flashy type or, if you can work overnight (no work during day time) you can get promotion/double digit hike easily!

Cons

> Strict no-no for technical folks - you will ruin your career. > No real projects - most of the time you will spend your time on demo projects. > If you get on real money making projects, you will work on age old technologies.

Pros

There are a lot of pros already covered in other reviews: Alright Pay Alright benefits Work/ Life balance is good If you're on Cary, NC's campus then the art, landscape, and gym are amazing! I have found people in other departments have been very nice and supportive.

Cons

Management based on how long you've been with the company not actual ability to manage or lead. Case and point would be my manager. As long as you're her friend on Facebook and don't ask her to actually do her job then she loves you. Management splits their "heavy lifting" duties to their employees so they don't have to do anything. As long as the managers play the social politic game with the upper management then they'll never have to work again! Little upward mobility depending on your department. In my department there is no growth. You're stuck as whatever position you were hired in until you've been here 10+ years, then you get to become a Sr. of your position. Goody, goody. Resistance to change on all fronts. If you have an idea just keep it to yourself. Management is set in their ways and will attempt to get you fired or will flat out ignore you when you try to offer up any ideas for how things could change. HR is a joke.
