Still a great place to work

Pros

All of this depends greatly on your manager and your particular role: - 35-hour work week - Flexible schedule - On-site healthcare center (excellent, in fact) - On-site amenities

Cons

The "employees-first" culture is changing. We're slowly moving toward the awful corporate culture of most companies. If you have a bad (or even malicious) manager, no one will help you (but this is likely true just about anywhere).

Pros

Good work/life balance. Third party Daycare on site. Hybrid or remote work environment (with approval) is available.

Cons

Salaries not competitive with other tech companies in area. Downsizing due to upcoming IPO has created a fearful environment. Bonus structure is secretive and completely subjective; it varies widely based on your work area (R&D, Sales, IT, etc). Bonuses and Merit increases have been extremely limited the past 3 years.

Pros

One of the standout features of SAS is its exceptional work-life balance. The management genuinely respects personal time and promotes a healthy equilibrium between professional and personal life, which is a significant plus. Additionally, my manager deserves a special mention for being exceptionally supportive and approachable. The open-door policy here isn't just for show; it's practiced daily, making the work environment incredibly nurturing and positive. Another highlight is SAS's robust mentorship program. This initiative has been instrumental in helping me and many others in developing new skills and enhancing our existing capabilities. The learning opportunities provided here are truly commendable and cater well to career development.

Cons

The compensation structure at SAS is a bit of a letdown. The pay is not as competitive as one might expect in our industry, which can be demotivating. Furthermore, the bonuses are surprisingly low, which doesn't quite match up to the hard work and dedication put in throughout the year. Looking ahead, the prospects for promotion seem rather slim. The growth opportunities in terms of positions are limited, which might be a concern for those looking for upward mobility in their career paths.
