Pros

Excellent following -- the customers who love SAS (usually career SAS people with few other prospects at the organization) really LOVE SAS

Cons

Overpriced in today's market; A great deal of ancient legacy technology; Clueless Cary crowd who don't have a clue about the real (competitive) world around them

Pros

The company has managed the covid-19 pandemic with an early interest in protecting its employees. Salary and benefits are still good, but getting smaller over time.

Cons

SAS has struggled to keep on top of cloud and digitalization. The technology stack is old and competition is fierce. The company is trying to transform, but it's not quite clear if it's too late or there is still a chance of significantly increasing market share. Mid management in the UK is weak and really just good at admin function - no clear vision to be seen anywhere.
