      SAP a great company... SAP Labs bangalore is a the most mediocre place to be

      Pros

      Work life balance... or did I say life life balance... coz there is mostly no work... That is why this place is a magnet for lazy bums who want to live the rest of their lives doing nothing under the shelter of like minded ppl... Great exposure to global business software and one can do wonders in this company if he is innovative... but wait, local management will kill you and your idea... coz innovation sounds like "work" isn't it, and bangalore management do not like working ppl..

      Cons

      Mediocre culture of SAP labs bangalore... They believe in recruiting mediocrity and retaining mediocrity... that is why it has slipped to paymaster 70 percentile now... and over the years I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes 50 percentile... There is no differentiation for hard work and talent... all get same hike and promotion is always slated in 2.5 years or 3 years... does not matter who deserve or who doesn't... So teams are like family business... all managers are friends and they have their wives also in the same team.... which makes office look like kitty party mostly... they decide among themselves the future of team and individuals....

      Pros

      free lunch, trainings , possibility to travel at the customers, most of the peaople have good experience and you can find some excellent guys who knows technology but are very rare to find, sometimes you get to work from home

      Cons

      work life ballance is pretty bad, work 90% of the time more then 9h each day even more - come back home tired; managment takes decission real slow and is a long process for tiny things, you spend a lot of time in the ISP internal system to enter your time and expences and is a long process, a lot of wasted time on administrative tasks that you do on your own time - that time is lost instead of learning something new or do the job; salary is not that good is averange or bellow market; promotions are rare;per diem is small in some counties - it needs to be adjusted

      Pros

      - brilliant client base - partly very bright collegues - excellent installed base - potential to grow to double digit again

      Cons

      - to many people in Germany never came over the fact that SAP went global - communication is really poor and industry business units, which were once the catalyst of SAP are paralyzed since years - poor performing employes can keep there jobs for years - wrong KPI's at Software development - not enough possibilities to grow - development is still to much focussed on germany - too much focus on growth markets and not on mature markets - poor marketing
