Pros

Work-like balance isn't that bad as you are permitted time off when requested.Since SAP doesn't prime many projects there should be enough bench time to balance things out. Really great Consultants that are true professionals that take pride in their work If you enjoy travel then you will like this job. It was one of my favorite aspects and I was able to have projects in some really great locations. The job requires 100% travel so don't complain when you actually receive this. It is a condition of the job. If you hate traveling don't apply for this position. Good Benefits

Cons

Upward mobility is severely limited for females. Management in some divisions is 100% male and do not care about the careers of women they manage. Utilization targets are really important yet the Consultant has very little control over this. If you are on a bad team or have a bad manager you will have a lot of bench time. Any attempts to move to other departments to increase your utilization will be denied, thus stagnating your career and salary. Compensation is no longer competitive the longer you stay with the company The longer you stay the less management cares about you....hiring new employees is top priority. However, new employees will not be trained properly so they quickly turnover. Very little diversity despite the propaganda campaigns stating otherwise. Diversity in SAP speak simply means hiring more men of various age ranges. Nepotism is the key to having a great career....not talent Management is notoriously ineffective and turnover is high. If you are unfortunate to have a bad manager (and many are) just resign to the fact that this is a job and not a career for you. You must have an advocate to have a career here.

Excellent pay for contract work Flexible work schedule Minimal direction or supervision so you take the lead on your projects (no micromanagement) Ability to telecommute Opinion is valued because you are consider the expert

Cons

This is a difficult section to complete because during my three year contract nothing negative comes to my mind. This section should be optional not mandatory.
