Unmatched professionalism are normal with hyderabad managers + Rocket has lack of product vision

Peoples are great, but low (low, middle & top) management are not great & true to their values.

Cons

Unmatched professionalism & humiliation style are quite evident with hyderabad manager. It is related to the anger, attitude and selfishness of manager Sathish who have been with rocket from 2008 until now. All the team members are just silent, because just for package & life security. But every one got humiliated & disturbed many times by this manager Sathish.. they don't raise voice it just because of survival fear. The product have never been able to get one customer as a credit.. it is not generating revenue for company.. just eating cost from company.. the story is just repeating. Leadership vision are not great.

Pros

Great core business. Mainframes are still a growth area, 30 years after they were declared dead. Huge customers - enormous insurance companies, banks, governments, industrial giants that are not going away. No layoffs in either the Great Recession or the pandemic. You will not find a steadier job in the software industry.

Cons

Working on these ancient products can be tedious; knowledgeable people are getting old, so they hire young staff, who get bored and leave. Management loves to talk about "transparency," but hiring and tooling decisions are a black box, rank-and-file aren't consulted about anything. Too many acquisitions - a year or two after declaring "we won't do any more for awhile," the company makes its biggest acquisition ever. Dealing with IBM is a pain - clueless, logic-free decisions handed down constantly, and we just have to deal with them.

Purchased many smaller organizations and during the transition to the Rocket Way.. customer service was left behind while corporate ladder climbing was rewarded.. no matter if the climber had the knowledge. If they had good political skills. they were rewarded.
