      Pros

      Good Salary, Good work environment. If you are guy with cool ideas and enthusiasm to implement it you are most welcome. Investment and research on new interfaces like ZOWE which is a cool user interface with mainframe back end. Join Rocket , you will feel the excitement of a travel in Rocket :) Rocket Build.

      Cons

      Even though 28 year old US company. Its a start up in India. Too much uncertainty, Don't know after 2 I am in this company or fired. Not Sure if it is a right company to Start a career.

      Pros

      Good benefits. People who care about their products and customers.

      Cons

      Most Rocket products were acquired from software companies that didn't care or want them anymore and that are on a downward trajectory. Highly dependent on IBM mainframe ecosystem, which is shrinking. Even IBM is considering dumping the whole mainframe business in favor of cloud offerings.

      Pros

      The best thing about working at Rocket is the quality of your peers... smart people in every position. There is a lot of opportunity to do amazing work, as long as you are self-directed and can figure it out on your own. If you can manage your own workload, and find time to do other cool stuff, there is an opportunity to create and grow. If you need direction, this might not be the place for you. Excellent enticements to join, including 100% paid health insurance, generous vacation and time off policies, and matching 401K.

      Cons

      Exciting place to be, when you first join. After the initial honeymoon phase, the recognition and visibility just goes POOF. No one seems to be helping employees develop a career path, and it's easy to get overlooked. Raises? Don't hold your breath. Three HR plans in three years... where are we going, Rocket? Help us out here. Rocket attracts good talent, but does not work hard enough to retain the same employees. Professional development budgets are zero or very small, and conferences and training are handed out on a "it's who you know" basis. Management changes are like a revolving door at Rocket. Culture is still being defined, rapid growth is not handled well.
