Overall, good place to work. Benefits and salary are competitive, and people are nice to work with. Company allows flex work time and in some cases work from home opportunities.

Cons

As with many pharmaceutical companies, there has been many layoffs and downsizing over the years. Recent closure of Nutley site caused many layoffs and unfortunate for the local area.

Great colleagues who are experts in their research fields, friendly, helpful and willing to share their experiences and insights. Strong focus on continuous development and improvement of the 454 technology. Office space is plentiful.

Cons

The traffic around the New Haven area was a bit of a challenge initially (I commute from out of town); fortunately the situation has improved significantly since then.
