Pros

Good benefits package with PTO, most holidays off, sick leave Diverse and mostly accepting workplace for people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, LQBTQ people, those who wear face masks in office settings, people of color and immigrants including those with English as a second language. Many of my coworkers are hardworking, kind individuals and easy to get along with. Opportunities to learn new skills from other departments

Cons

Minimal to no training for new employees Contract workers make up most of the new hires and their pay rate is set by their agency, most had different hourly pay rates for the same work expectations. Shift preference for 1st shift, on slower days 2nd and 3rd shift workers get sent home early or called off entirely while 1st shift (Ricoh and contract workers) gets to work their full hours Management does not listen to the suggestions or complaints of their employees, I heard from others that one of the higher level site managers for the Parma location told them to get another job if they don't like the lack of work being provided here. Favoritism for promotions, career advancement opportunities are not provided to those who are best suited for the roles or most knowledgeable in their roles. I as an entry level hire have had to fix the errors in work done by team leaders, site managers and senior site managers on an almost daily basis. Pay is not competitive for the field or job responsibility/expectations. You will be asked to do more work or take on more responsibilities without a pay increase if managers find you are a quick worker and reliable. My duties were expanded beyond document control to quality control, administrative work, billing work, payment processing and more within weeks of me being hired as a contract worker. High turnover creates more stress for existing staff, Ricoh cannot retain employees on 2nd and 3rd shift as those employees either find new jobs with more reliable hours or they move to 1st shift. This puts stress on everyone else to fill in for the lost productivity when hours become stable again. Employees are not informed with enough notice on days they are not called in or days they are sent home early. Many people have shown up to work just to be told to leave immediately, despite spending their time and money to be prompt and ready for work.
