Pros

Really good 401K matching program

Cons

Despite majority of company cash flow coming from US unconventional assets majority of senior management positions are filled by legacy Repsol/YPF "lifers" who have no real understanding of unconventional assets who continuously try to apply the conventional asset playbook with complete disregard to the input from US based engineers with over a decade of experience developing unconventional assets. US engineers are looked down upon by Spanish and Hispanic management and senior management. They generally believe that you are not as smart as them and that you are paid to much because you are US based, however they do not seem to acknowledge that the Spanish staff are unionized, can't be fired in a commodity price downturn and receive a pension for life. Whereas US staff can be let go with 2-weeks notice. If you are hired on one of your primary tasks will be to train someone based in Madrid to do your job remotely, then you will be let go first sign of a downturn.
