Pros

9/80 schedule - 1 day remote work per week

Cons

Incredibly poor management in Upstream, no career progression, favoritism in promotions and layoffs (not based in performance), Northamerica regional office in Calgary leaving Houston office to be a secondary office

Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, good vacation time. There is interesting work to be found. I appreciate the corporate values and focus on sustainability.

Cons

It can be bureaucratic and red tape heavy, so many bottlenecks for decision making, too many decisions are made based on spreadsheets rather than on people as individuals. There is a focus on work-life balance, but in some positions there is just too much work for one person and that can result in long hours.
