Pros

* Free cafeteria * Good company reputation in Japan. A good stepping stone. * Very good location. You can find everything in Futakotamagawa

Cons

* Japan Ichiba hired a lot of partner staffs (contractors). Regular employee usually doesn't get involved in "real" development work. * Japan Ichiba asked every regular employee to be on call for emergency matters. If you get alter mails you have to response and cope with it in timely manner. To make matter worse, they even didn't mention any single word regarding "on-call duty" in the offer letter. (Not to mention the poor salary) * It is hardly to use any new technology in Japan Ichiba. You couldn't get budget if it can't make money. (No budget, no work) * Bonus is based on your rank. Not the performance.

Pros

Nothing much great to mention here apart from free food and few free biscuits in pantry.

Cons

Worst and sick senior management you will ever experience. HR team is good for nothing folks. Management only want shoe licking people. Current new senior Management is getting all the new people from his own reference. All the flipkart's fired and waste people are hired in Rakuten India now days. All the non-productive, unskilled managers fired by Flipkart are now days been hired in Rakuten India. And these waste byproducts are further spoiling the company culture and working environment. Senior Management is asking or you can forcing their managers to write false positive reviews in Glassdoor and put all the sugar coated reviews about them. The office is full of bureaucracy and hypocrites. Advice to all the Software Engineers: - Please don't join this company until and unless you are die'ing out of hunger because if you join this company you end up crying tears full of blood & regrets and you will not learn anything new apart from shoe licking of your boss.

Pros

Free Food Diversity; Lots of good people.

Cons

・HR will not be helpful at all, so don't go back to them for anything other than documents; They are not there to help you fix your working environment or give you advice and if they do, the only advice they'll give you is: "Talk to your manager" who you can't talk to which is why you spoke to HR in the first place; Go figure. ・Englishnization is a hoax. People won't bother to use English, and to be honest a high TOEIC score is the only thing that some people get (Which does not imply that they can speak the language properly). ・The company is huge, so get used to people you know passing you by as if you don't exist just because they're too busy to say hi. ・Not worth your time; Look somewhere else. ・Note: Avoid these following branches for they are Japanese to the core: 1- Rakuten Bank. 2- Rakuten Card. 3- Rakteun Edy. 4- Advertising. 5- Rakuten Insurance Company. ・Archaic frameworks that have not been updated for God knows how many years. ・Don't try making any suggestions, this is Not a democracy.
