Pros
Rakuten is a big company, there are many engineers and departments. You can transfer to your preferred position if you have the skill. (you need to take another interview when you ask internal transfer) There are many challenging tasks in every department every product, but it depends on your skill to get such challenging tasks.
Cons
Rakuten started RTO and many skillful engineers retired. Still, products are working but developers are quite unskilled. Even if they have trouble, they do not realize the root cause. root causes are almost not prepared for operation and testing. But they can not understand because they are not ....

I had a fantastic experience working at Rakuten. The company's work culture is positive and provides employees with ample opportunities to work and learn. Collaborating with Japanese counterparts was a unique and valuable experience. The company's campus in Bangalore is one of the best, located in the heart of the city, with a stunning view of the lush green Cubbon Park. The HR team is incredibly supportive, among the best I've ever worked with. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Rakuten and would highly recommend it as an excellent place to work.
Cons
While I enjoyed working at Rakuten, one should note that the company places a strong emphasis on meeting targets and achieving results, which can sometimes create a high-pressure work environment. While this approach can be motivating, it may not suit everyone and can lead to stress and burnout for some employees. Nonetheless, Rakuten provides ample resources and support to help employees manage their workload and succeed, making it a great place to work overall.
