Pros

Worked with some of the smartest coworkers. Good to get experience, but I wouldn't stay as the technology is old and not too much room for innovation.

Cons

Micromanagement and racist older engineers. Filed a report with HR and they didn't do anything. Aging workforce set in their ways not willing to transition to better tools/technology. Pay is stagnant and PTO policy is weak.

Pros

Great place to work if you are a manager.

Cons

Not a great place to work if you want a raise or upward mobility. My experience was not able to get a promotion after a two year promise then when I got a better offer they would not match the new opportunity although they wanted me to stay. Thankfully, I left and got the upward experience I needed in my career.

Not Good For Growth

Pros

-3 Weeks PTO plus 12 holidays -Generous tuition assistance -Cool mission, security clearance -Every other Friday off (9/80)

Cons

- Not a good place if you are young and looking for the latest and greatest to grow as an engineer. -So much red tape, many people spend months and even years waiting for their clearance and getting minimal hands on with development. Even after you get cleared, expect to wait another month for account access. You want to use a popular FOSS item? Either forget about it or wait 6 months for it to be approved. - Projects can be hit or miss, and often involve working on old and poorly designed code. People are reluctant to embrace newer approaches. -There is no mentorship and poor support if you are new and onboarding onto a team. -Working in a cubicle that is closed off from the outside world in old facilities. - No culture, people just there to work and leave at the end of the day so everyone keeps to themselves. Very old fashioned. Don't expect catered lunches, happy hours after work, fun lunch breaks, or any other perks. - Huge age gap as employees are majority older and looking to retire soon or just they just graduated college and will leave within a couple years or less. Mid level workers get worked to death. Some people are just there for the retirement thus they've never left Raytheon. -Health insurance is expensive and limited in options, pay is okay starting out but not competitive afterwards as you have a small chance of promotion and will only see tiny raises that don't even outpace inflation.
