Pros

Raytheon offers very good benefits, such as part-time and flexible schedules. Can take up to a year leave of absence without pay and return to a job at same salary and seniority. They are working hard to promote diversity.

Cons

Managers are not necessarily trained to lead before they are given a leadership role. This means that they are not always good with people. There is a strong focus on corporate culture, which sometimes distracts from being effective at work. Also, we spend a lot of time training about safety considering that software engineers spend most of their day sitting at a desk.

Pros

There was good Job security and I was fairly compensated compared to other electrical engineers with the same work experience.

Cons

There was a ceiling if you were to stay technical same with most companies. It is not a place to work to get rich but a palce to work to be comfortable.
