I was offered a competitive salary and a generous signing bonus in order to relocate from Northern California. The signing bonus was to offset the relocation repayment to my previous employer for having only worked there less than a year. I could have started two months later and not have had to repay it. However, Raytheon was pushing me to start sooner than later. They even waived the requirement for a secret security clearance as mine had lapsed and put me in for an interim so that I could perform my job. All that sounds great, but then they laid me off 5 months later due to alleged funding issues.

Most of the meetings is waste of time. People work overtime at their volunteer hours, even on weekends. The message from management is "Get this work done, no matter when!" The management doesn't count meetings and other stuff, like mandatory trainings, issues with computers and etc. In overall, this job requires from employees to fight with stress and frustration
