The flip side of being a legacy business in a cutting edge technology industry is that it makes RSA feel stagnant by comparison. Innovation is something often spoken about at the leadership level, but there is a lack of resources and commitment to grow and develop individual contributors to become leaders and innovators. There have been one or more waves of layoffs a year in they have been steadily moving jobs to India and other global locations. This limits prospects for rising through the ranks for US-based professionals. The company is painfully siloed by product and business units, meaning you may have little to no understanding roles and responsibilities of other groups and individuals. This often presents considerable challenges to planning and executing on projects. The working environment leads to a an uninspiring mindset. "Keep your head down and just go about your job.
