Pros

-Schedule Flexibility. -True equal-opportunity hiring practices. -Certain centers have a terrific workplace environment. Even the "bad" ones are about what you'd expect from an office job. -There is opportunity if you know how to earn it. -Terrific resume builder. -QuEST strives to make their employees feel like part of a team, not just workers for a machine. -Nagging issues with the company as a whole are making marked improvements.

Cons

-It would be too generous to call the HR department a complete farce. -The company places growth as its #1 priority. -Are the strives QuEST is making to improve on their glaring weak points too little, too late? -Pay scale should be revised to better reflect work load. Pay varies from too generous to not nearly enough. -While PTO/vacation time is expanding, it still lags far behind industry standard.

Pros

- Relatively easy to get a job here. - Some of the projects can be interesting. - May see some cutting edge technology being developed. - Flexible hours. - Larger office with more people to socialize with. - Good resume builder. - Good equipment to work with (nice computer, dual monitors, local and network cluster, etc.) - Spacious cubicles. - Benefits are about average. - Vacation relatively easy to take.

Cons

Biggest down side- there are a lot of down sides. The work itself: - Can get very repetitive (turbine blades all look the same). - Analysis only job: customer does the design, you plug it in and show them the results. - Work breakdown: 50% PowerPoint creation, 30% filling out forms/checklists/reviews, 20% engineering - Collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge expansion is mostly frowned upon. Company: - Contract-based company: every hour worked must be billed or you won't be paid. If work goes over budget (due to poor leadership, organisation, customer interaction, etc.) engineers are still expected to catch up (unpaid) on work. - Budget for training is non-existent. - Pay is very low when comparing experience/degree with other similar positions. - Structure, titles, organization frequently changes. - Company is largely run by India. Excessive grammatically incorrect communications of all mediums is sent to the employees. - HR communication is poor; any request takes over a week before a reply is received, as everything must route through an Indian representative. Other: - Company morals/ethics very low. Managers are profit driven and will put deadlines/customer demands above all morals. Quality of work suffers and mistakes are frequently encountered. - Managers have no management background and perform interpersonal duties poorly. Most managers at Quest are Aero-thermal/Project Engineers that have reached the "length of service required" to be a manager, and are therefore promoted.

Quest Global Glassdoor Review During Interview * During Interviews interviewers telling wrong information’s like this is core Design work (Job description designation itself Design Engineer) but it is wrong and if you are joined in quest then you need to do the non designing work like Assembly instructions preparation, Costing work, Tooling list preparation, Detailing (Component Definition), Assembly of the parts (Product Structure) etc., * During Interviews interviewers will tell people are coming here for the `Aerospace' domain even salary is very very less but you may get cheated the real fact is not this. * They will tell there is lot of onsite opportunities are there during interview, there is some onsite opportunities will be there agreed. But there is no much, don't believe. * Doing the experiment in the name of interview / walking and playing in the life of the employees. * Increments in the Quest is very very less, while joining try to get as much as possible. * They will tell `If required' you need to work in weekends (In working days because of `Shift' we will not get System). But understand it is not `If required' it is `Always required'. Training * If any meetings / trainings being conducted then we need to stretch extra because we need to bill for 45 hours. Also we cannot say we will not come to meeting / training. * Very worst trainings for new joiners, they will give some trainings before assigning project. The trainings given to the new joiners will no where conveying the things need to be done in actual deliverables. There is no correlation between the training and the Work, Training will speak only about Process, How to do the work / task you need to learn by yourself. * Because of poor or no training if you are asking any doubt (particularly for first time tasks) then no body will help you this is because of two things. (1) They also need to bill 45 hours per week and (2) They also pained first time so we also need to get that pain like that other senior employees will thought. * Training is not waste of time, it is investment, but in Quest it is waste of time, * There is a system called IPMS to enter the 45 hours billing timesheet, If no work timesheet need to enter for training overhead activity instead of no work, there is no option for less workload so obviously we need to enter in Training. Also if we attend any meeting (Approximately 6 to 8 hours will go for meeting) then we need to sit more and need to work by stretching. No IPMS task available for `Meeting' since management policy of 45 hours need to work and bill timesheet. * You can find in every orientation joining batch at least one person will abscond. Honeymoon * If you are joined in Quest at joining times (from date of joining to 3 months) you need to frequently hear the following sentence `Here it is like that only'. No honeymoon period of first 3 months but it is Hell living period of atleast first one year. * Once joined (Except first month) there will not be any honey moon period, always in emergency hurry burry mode. Billing and Working Hours * You need to get billing from customer as 45 hours per week otherwise you will be get screwed and you will be send out. For any work from the customer Quest quote less hours than actual need to be worked. This is because to get the orders but once we get inside Quest we will punished, because they will give 4 days work and will ask us to complete it in 2 days. New joiners need to die because of this. Ultimately we cannot work and we need to come and complete the work in weekends also. * Quest does not know or not care about the way when they started doing the deliverables for the projects. Even they know they don't care about it because I need billing, billing and billing. * If the customer's of Quest workload reduced then they will not give the work i.e., billing hours to Quest. During that time we need to enter as non billable in timesheet or we need to beg others for if any billing in your project. This is because they have given the target Applied Ratio X % (usually more than 80% to 98% if we are putting leave still we need to achieve this % i.e.., leave days also need to work for achieve this %) this of billing hours need to be maintained in the total available hours. If no project came from customer then will be moved to bench and may loss job at any time. If more work load from customer then need to work all Saturday and Sunday’s also. * If you are joining in Quest then be ready to work in all Saturdays. After joining don't feel. * In a year minimum 2 to 3 days you need to put personal leave to manage billing hours. Otherwise you will be removed from project and will be moved to bench and this leads to loss of pay once all leaves consumed. So even Quest giving leave per offer letter it is waste. * They will give 20 to 30% while joining. Also your working hours officially it is 9 hours 30 minutes, but you need to stretch for 11 to 12 hours per day including Saturday, be ready or be aware. * Shift timings are General 9.30 AM to 7.00 PM (Shift allowance Rs.0 / month), First Shift 06.00 AM to 03.30 PM (Shift allowance Rs.4500 / month) and Second Shift 03.00 PM to 12.30 PM (Shift allowance Rs.5000 / month) it looks like first shift is good. Shift is decided by project leaders and seniors will get the first shift by using their influence even though shift change system of every month is available. All female employees will come in First shift or in general they will not come in second shift. Newly coming male employees need to suffer. * If work is more then need to stretch, need to come in saturdays and sundays also, if no work then will be moved to bench may lost the job. * If workload / customer input is less then our Applied ratio will be less then we will inefficient {Applied Ratio : Hours billed / [No. of working days (Including leave days) x 9 hours]} Mobility on Resources (MoR) * During appraisal time a department called Mobility on Resources (MoR) will send email to all employees for onsite opportunities. This onsite opportunities are for different teams for employees those who are working in different team. With huge desire employees will apply and selected for onsite job. If employees are selected then the current reporting manager will provide the less rating since he will tell `anyhow you will selected for onsite opportunity’. Selected employees will be moved to bench and `MoR’ will tell your Visa is under progress. After three to six months `MoR’ will tell sorry the visa issue not resolved and the onsite opportunity is filled using other employee. So obviously the onsite applied selected employee need to submit his resignation and need to relieve from his Quest Global and he is now jobless. * During Corona, `MoR’ sent a fake job description to the employees in bench. They will take a list of applied employees and not applied employees. If we are not applied for that post then they will ask why you are not applied. If we applied for that post then `MoR’ will tell since you are impotent you are not selected. Also `MoR’ will ask for the past 1 months we have deployed (i.e., moved from bench to project) 1000 employees, why you are not getting selected. Admin and HR Related * Project leaders Verbal communication will be like you need to complete the job in the given time. If you need to be here at 24 hours then you need to, it is your headache. This is no professional words from Project leaders. * They will tell everything transparent, but per given designation there is no standard for salary value i.e., if you caught then they will utilize, Company relieving percentage is hided nearly around 15%. * If we are in Bench then we may do the `Peak load support’ (for 1 week to 3 months) work being asked by HR. But there is no difference or advantage to the employees those who are doing the `Peak load support’ work. HR will tell we will make a regular employee i.e., moving from bench to an non billable project. But this will never happen and after our relieving period they will find another person for do the `Peak load support’. * Quest is located at very costly area (Embassy tech village, Outer ring road, near ecospace) and most traffic area. So if you joined you cannot get rental houses and schools at reasonable cost. If you travelled from your house from Silkboard side or Mahadevapura side or Sarjapura side you need to waste atleast 3 hours per day unnecessarly and again you need to be inside Quest 9.5 hours every day so your working days will always long. * In every companies some advantages will be there and some disadvantages will be there. But in Quest everything will be disadvantages, this is Quest special. * Every year 15 percent employees are going out i.e., company relieving iteration percentage is too high. * They will give less than 30 percent when joining but if the below text given in your offer letter then you may transfer to Belgaum / Bangalore / Chennai / Trivandrum. Be aware. "Transfer : You will be initially posted at ______. However, you are aware that you can be transferred at any time from one role to another, from one department to another, from one location and establishment to another, owned, operated or managed by the Employer, or any of its associated Companies in India or abroad. On such transfer Employment will be governed by the terms and conditions applicable to that role, department, location and establishment. * They will give less than 30 percent when joining but if the below text given in your offer letter and if we are in remote to Ecospace area (QG7BETV037) then we need to pay much more since they will not arrange any transport. "Transport Service : You can opt for the transportation facility provided by Quesy based on the availability of seats and the preset standard routes. The cost of transportation will be borne by you, cost details and the routes would be as per the Quest policy"be aware they will not give any transport facility. Don't take this as light take this as serious. Admin playing important role in transport, if we are asking transport for some area they will tell minimum four persons need. But who are all requesting transport for that area only admin will no. So individual employee cannot ask all other employees as `For my area say Gandhinagar whether you require any cab or not ?'. Transport request System is designed very cunningly. * They will give less than 30 percent when joining but if the below text given in your offer letter then they can terminate at any time and again in our current company notice period may 1 month and we will join within 1 month but we need to stay 3 months notice period if we resigned from Quest. "Termination of Employment : Employer has the right to terminate the employment with immediate effect in case of breach of company policy or gross misconduct by you, OR if you are absent from work for 10 more working days continuously without leave/authorization from the Employer and/or without sufficient reason, it will be presumed that you have voluntarily given up the employment in the company and your name stands removed from the payrolls / other records of the company from the start date of your absence. * As a employee completely no freedom, you will feel once you joined. * As per the Quest Policy you cannot wash the lunch box in Pantry. We can wash the lunch box in 4th floor cafeteria at regular working days in lunch time it is difficult to wash hands itself. If so then how can we wash the lunch box. After Food went to house if we are opening the lunch box one smell will come. It is a Quest Special. All Others * In Quest everyone working obviously i.e., no other job without any way, this is not good for individual career and organizational growth. * If you are prefer to join quest please do the glassdoor review and google review very carefully them take the decision, After took the decision don't feel. Ultimately for less than 30 percent if you are joined in quest then you will feel as a fool or you will feel as you caught. * PC should be shutdown or logoff not locked, because the peoples don't have PC can use it * Only Adjusting Female employee have fortune opportunity for onsite. * In Quest employees will disappointed After joining, if they disappointed then how can they delivery the work * Salary Vs. Time sheet approval, Time sheet is rejected then salary will be deducted. * Hunger plays an important role here. If you are joining in Quest you may be either inefficient (and send out to house) or you need to come to all weekends decide (Minimum 80 Hours to 100 Hours per week). * Even if you are working inside OEM (As a Contractor from Contractor company deputation to OEM and working inside OEM) then don't join in any of the Service industries particularly Quest Global. * Quest is being financially powered by fresher or less than 3 years experience, * Some Employees joined from some good OEM companies to Quest, now feeling worst, * Inside Quest If you are taken any team or any type of work it is not constant from top to bottom level Project Manager to Contract Execute Engineer all are new or moved from some other team. * If we are working in any service industries as a hour rate billing then it is very very difficult particularly in Quest. * If you are joined in Quest then you need to be in Shift timings and you need to get health issues because of Night working Shift timings. * Local kannda (also include kerala, tamilnadu, telungana and andra) engineers getting less salary (For Engineer designation 3 years experience with BE Mechanical degree) giving Rs.18,000 / month at the time of joining in Quest. But Quest recruiting from north say Jarkand, Assam, West Bengal etc, for same Engineer designation 3 years experience giving Rs.27,000 / month at the time of joining in Quest. * No written work instructions and we cannot record by mail because seniors will strongly oppose also but if any error then we caught, This is because of lot of internal politics * In Quest QG7BETV037 Culture is very worst, If a subordinate (Even if that person is new comer) did any error then the good culture is tell inside meeting hall without anyone, But here in Quest is only in the meeting when presence of other members only they will tell errors. * You need to be with huge internal politics since the seniors (Say Lead Engineers and Sr. Lead Engineers) doing Peer Review (PR) and Technical Review (TR) they don't want the new engineers need to survive in the Quest. This is because they will get good billing hours with minimum effort, if new engineers get training and if promoted to PR level. This is because seniors may have fear about they may loose their comfort billing hours. So the Seniors treating juniors is unimaginable. If joined in Quest then ready to take this politics in your solders. * Please read the below sentences when the Quest Rolls Royce Business division moved to neary by building. Because of this movement every person need to work one more day. " . . . As you all know, we are set for moving into Trillium (10th floor) during the coming weekend 14th to 15th September 2019. The inauguration for the same will be on 16th September 2019 at 10:00 hrs. On account of this, end-user computers (desktops and workstations) have to be shutdown from 21:00 hours of 13th September 2019 (First & General shift will operate as usual, 2nd shift will shutdown from 2 1:00 All the Desktops and workstations will be made available to test on Sunday, 15th September 2019 at 16:00 hours. In lieu of this movement, inauguration and settling at the new work location on Monday, we will be losing few business hours both on 13th September (Friday) and 16th September (Monday). As we all know that the end of September is half yearly closure for FY20, it is very essential for us to exit Hl FY20 on a good financial note. Keeping this in mind, we have planned to compensate the loss by working for the full day on 21st September (Saturday). Request your full support and co-operation. " Building change is for company, for this all employees need to work one day extra, this is a very good simple example about the management attitude. * If you are joined in Quest then you need to three level job search, (1) You did a job search then you got a job in Quest, (2) if you are not assigned to team and if you are in bench then it is your responsibility to find a job inside Quest otherwise within three months you will be sent out, (3) Even if you are in team but work load is less then you need to book 45 hours billing per week, So you need to ask (beg) every project leaders and seniors for work. * Engineers and Senior Engineers salary is much less when compared with the Lead engineers and Sr. Lead Engineers. The Nature of job of Engineers and Senior Engineers is to do the work and the Nature of job of Lead Engineers and Senior Lead Engineers is to check the work done by the Engineers and Senior Engineers. Now if the Engineers and Senior Engineers can able to check the work done by the other Engineers and Senior Engineers then management will think and question as why should we keep the more cost resources like Lead engineers and Sr. Lead Engineers. So the Lead engineers and Sr. Lead Engineers are more cautious and will trach anything to the Engineers and Senior Engineers Level. If we are joined in Quest then we need to be ready to live with this politics. * In every company if the company making loss or in recession period management will reduce manpower based on the work performance, experience, knowledge and CTC during that time our colleague will be competitors to us. But in the service industry like Quest always work load will be fluctuation (i.e., some period of time work is over load and some period of time work is very very less) and type of work will be keep on changing. If the workload is less then we / all need to beg the seniors and project leaders for work to maintain the Applied Ratio (Billing hours / Total office hours). During that time (i.e. most of the time) our colleague will be competitors. So no body will ready to teach others, when new type of work came then it is a real headache for new joiners and new engineers. * Personal understandings, Begging, Rappo Creation, Politics will be there in every company. But inside Quest that is only matters, we can realize this once we work in Quest atleast one year. * If workload is less then we need to enter the timesheet and need to show some good billing hours. If we could not able to do then the project leader will come and ask personally for put leave. So no billing then he can say he / she is in leave and he can manage. But the issue is we need to put unnecessarily leave when not required and chances of loss of pay may occur when we put leave when required. * Please stop all the activities in the name of training. Training is given to the new joiners, but in anyway training is not related to work. If we are asking this then the answer will be `. . . . Trainings are for explain process, How to work that you need to learn by yourself. . .". If the trainings are not explaining how to work then what is the meaning of giving the training. New joinees cannot ask this question, even if we asking this question then the next question routed to us is `What other new joiners are doing'. All the new joiner are sitting beyond their shift limits and coming Saturdays and Sunday for work. So obviously i also need to work beyond the shift limits (System will not be there if need to extend from First Shift, and For Second shift if need to extend then need to work full night) and coming Saturdays and Sunday. If i not extend beyond my shift time and weekends then it will impact my billing hours and i will be inefficient. Quest will send me out . * In Some companies if any employee coming and working in Saturdays and Sunday then the HR will enquire their managers as why they are coming. But in Quest it is very common to see everyone in Saturdays and Sunday. * If we are asking any doubts before starting any work to `X' he will say `I am not involved in this project so I cannot say anything'. Or he will say `I will not get any billing hours for this, so I cannot help you'. But the same `X' while doing QC if we ask any doubt then he will tell for the last 1 month you only working in this project. Then what we can do. * No IPMS system to capture checkers errors, checkers missed first time errors but asking correct when submit to next time. If standard does not speak anything then checkers will take advantage what they are asking we need to done, there should be some internal standard if customer standards not speaking about some thing. No system to capture Checker to checker variation / errors. Only there will kill the work executor. * Remember OEM 1 week work Quest 1 day work. * Experienced Engineers with low designation with less salary have high risk of job security since if project closed and moved to bench then even other internal quest project leaders will not recruit, They have fear about the experienced engineers states that this engineer have more experience so his will ask questions and try to acquire high positions etc.., * Admin persons getting commission from external canteen and good quality food replaced by worst, obviously need to eat that. Management not bothered about this. * Since Over Expectation or Over projection or Over Forecasting in work coming from customers, So taking recruiting the Engineers. Actually less work will come, Project lead will move the Engineers to bench. Job Security will be question, even if there is no issues with job security then Applied Ratio will hit low and Variable pay will not come. * During CORONA breakdown 50% of salary is cut after particular higher band. But during CORONA Quest Global acquired or purchased a company, but they never disclosed this since 1500 to 2500 employees is in bench and moved to their house without job and they will question as we are in job risk and Quest purchasing the company. * During Corona time Quest Global acquisitioned some companies and again they want to reduce the expenses, please read what they did for that. (1) In Quest for all employees notice period is 3 months clearly mentioned in offer letter. During Corona time Three months notice period persons asked to resign within one month otherwise they will be terminated. This is because of policy change in End of July 2020 as notice period as 1 month. This is cheating, they are just changed the policy and this is against the offer letter issued. Also there is not even a single mail or no authorized intranet link for policy change of 3 months to 1 month notice period. Everything oral information only. They moved nearly two thousand employees moved to bench then within one month moved to their house. Again they changed the policy to 3 months notice period in end of December 2020. (2) They stopped to pay the leave encashment (Relieving after 01-Aug-2020) and asked to take the physical leave. During corona period we are in house, if so how can take the leaves. * 23-Mar-2020 Monday At evening 04.00 PM they told system will be packed and forwarded by Quest Global to some selected employees. But time is going nothing happened, then managers told no time so you need to pack he PC System then Quest Global will forwarded the PC to you. Finally managers again told no time, you need to take the desktop PC (With accessories like Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse along with CPU) to your house by yourself. They know government will going to announce the shutdown and 144 from 00:00:00 AM of 24-Mar-2020 Tuesday (or 12:00 AM or 23-Mar-2020 Monday). But the intension is they need to get the work output from employees so they hided and rushed us in last minutes. * Before Corona COVID19 itself Rolls-Royce asked to take off the Rolls-Royce Bangalore Manyata Techpark Office. Quest told we will take the projects and facilities but we will not take your employees. But Infosys told we will take the projects, facilities and your employees. We will not reduce employee head count or we will not announce any layoff. We will not decrease salary of any employees for next 5 years. So the Rolls-Royce Bangalore office sold to Infosys. And Rolls-Royce England gave the projects to Infosys and Alten. Later they not gave any work / Project to Quest Global. * Infosys asked Quest global as “Please give all of your Rolls-Royce ODC employees to Infosys since you will not going to get any project from RR. But Quest told that I will remove them and they will stand in the road not an issue. But I will not going to give them to you. * Lot of things cannot write here so made as . . . . Understand,
