Pros

PwC is a great place to start a career - you'll learn more and have more access to high level executives than just about any other job right out of school. The training and developmental opportunities are second to none.

Cons

Work life balance is tough. Typically I travel 25% - 35% of the year and for months at a time I average 70 hour weeks. I think this is fairly typical of public accounting, however. There is some flexibility, but the bottom line is that you are at the mercy of your clients. If you want to work an 8 to 5 job, this isn't it.

Pros

Big company so you have opportunities if you want to find them, if you are the type of person who goes after such opportunities you will love working for PwC. It is a challenging place to work and that makes each day different and enjoyable.

Cons

You can feel a little like a number and a role rather than a person. It is a very large organization and can feel lost, nervous about making mistakes and like you are living in a foreign country without knowing the language for sometime! There are expectations that you will live and breathe PwC, so you might have to fight to get the balance you want - it is there for the strong!

Cons

Three downsides - 1) Opportunities at PwC are available, however, you need to be connected with the right individuals. 2) Taking advantage of benefits such as tuition reimbursement is hard to do. 3) Burn-out is common after 3-5 years.
