Pros

Decent pay - 5.51 when I was under 18, always paid on time! Over 18s is 6.51, which is even better.. Pay wise, they could compete with pretty expensive shops out there! Interview was EASY - just asked me about some previous experience, and myself. I enjoyed being left to get on with it, with was easy when you're folding Christmas jumpers all day! Till work was pretty much compulsory, and it put me into the deep end on my second shift! Scary stuff.. But when I MAJORLY messed up, the supervisors and managers were REALLY understanding and helped me straight away!

Cons

The reputation - they appear to take pretty much everyone on, so it didn't really seem like an achievement to be seen working there. The uniform is also quite restrictive (although at least there is no set logos you have to wear!), and I didn't get a lanyard until a month in! This made it annoying, because the public weren't that confident in going up to me.

Pros

Excellent money for that type of job. No responsibility so not too much stress. Flexible days and can mostly choose what days you want to work so it's good for people studying. Really great people and very social job, always a night out on or some activity. Dealing with the public can be nice (or awful depending on the situation but overall good)

Cons

Management are completely incompetent; they treat you like a child and micro manage every aspect of you day. There is awful problems with favouritism and often if borders on bullying (I have seen it first hand) HR are not very approachable. It's impossible to get out of a shift of something comes up and you are not allowed to swap a shift ( unless HR mess up your hours then you HAVE TO get a swap). Some very interesting/funny/strange incidents in my time there.
