      Pros

      great company with great vision. Flexibility to be able to manage personal emergencies/ situations. Open communication, manager have cubicles just like their sub-ordinates. Great work culture, knowledgeable team, and lots to learn.

      Cons

      Need to work on recognition tools.

      Pros

      Philips is a well run company. One good reason to work at Philips is to take advantage of the benefits offered when you have a large group of people. The heath and dental benefits are good but the additional insurance of long and short term disability are great, but they do go away when you leave. Philips is definitly a top down company which when you are involved in such a big company is a good thing.

      Cons

      One downside of working at Philips Electronics is it's size. The very factor that makes it great also makes it less than ideal to work for. Sometimes you realize you are just a number.

      Pros

      Great engineering team. Every engineer/architect was of high quality. The software that is being developed is used in the hospitals and actually helps doctors and radiologies make better decisions about patients. Not a lot of over time, if you can manage your work in 40 hours per week.

      Cons

      Corporate culture. If you don't control your own career the management is not going to help you. Lots of red tape and bureaucracy, it takes forever to approve a decision, or if you need something done. Very small salary increases. No bonuses. No holiday parties either or any type of team building activities.
