Pros

I found Philips to be a great employer when it came to the basics. Pay was good, benefits were good, work/life balance was acceptable. I was able to search for opportunities for growth.

Cons

Beginning in September of each year - layoffs were always a fear. It began to feel like we were the cast of Survivor - wondering who would get voted off each year. This year I (along with many others) were voted off. A company can only restructure so many times before it loses its way.

Pros

Benefits were good and annual raises were nice. Vacation packages, opportunities for mentoring, coaching, advancement, job training and talent development. Learning opportunities and training budget was nice.

Cons

Bureaucracy of a large business. Limited career options. Sexual harassment issues with manufacturing workers due to perceived anonymity and lack of enforcement of respectful ways of communication. Legacy workers were slow and work pace was slow. Long development cycles were challenging
