Pros

The work is engaging, and I had a really good relationship with my manager who made sure I got really good exposure to different projects. Overall, really enjoyed my year at the company. I was surrounded by brilliant people who were really good at their jobs, and it was a good learning experience.

Cons

Opportunity to return after completing a placement year is very limited, especially as an international student - sponsorship isn't offered so even getting on the graduate scheme is difficult.
