Pros

autonomy & independence in field roles, culture focuses on winning, good sales and leadership training, HR function is strongly positioned within the company

Cons

short term focus on period sales & operating targets sacrifices long term decision making, culture highlights star performances rather than good sustainable processes, too much "me-first" culture at HQ

Pros

Best bang for the buck in trucking. Compensated like a union driver (paid for every thing including waiting time) without the union bs.. Good management. Equipment is decent and a real pension! Good mix of runs, sleep in hotels, and home often.

Cons

No outside life as low man as you never know when your needed until the day before the run. "Bin" locations can be perilous to your health as well as your driving record. Most cons are directly related to lack of seniority. If you can stick it out, you can erase most of these cons.

Pros

The pay is okay. Most routes are solo routes where you only have yourself to blame for what happens. (that's a good thing) Easy job, as far as thinking. Duhhh, put the chips on the shelf...

Cons

The pay is OKAY. Some routes are NIGHTMARES!!! For people just starting at the company (about 5 years at our site) to get a good route with shorter hours and weekends off. Hard job if you count all the B.S. besides putting chips on the shelf. I don't like to complain and in the years I've been here, never had many reasons to. But recently I've been complaining about certain things and I really feel like no one cares or appreciates my opinion. I've always known that about some of the managers but now when it feels like I have legitimate concerns, no one really cares. I've heard some horrible stock answers from my manager. "it is what it is" "you're just lucky to have a job right now" In regards to pushing too much sales volume by myself " well how are you going to like that pay check?" I don't like it if I'm to sore and don't have enough time to enjoy it A lot of B.S.
