Pros

i just began my career with frito lay on Monday and already feel at home and envison strong longevity with the company. the training so far has been one of, if not the best ive gone through with companies ive worked for in the past. during training we covered many topics such as , ergonomics , biometrics, driver safety, company culture, team work, merchandising, sales, what all the relvant abbreviations mean. food safety and hazards, understanding our responsibilities and accountabilities in each of our roles and how they intersect to form such a strong and energetic team work frame. the reason im writing this, is because i feel it makes a huge difference from day one how a company prepares new employees to go out in the field and be successful. frito lay does this. this is a huge factor why they have a great business. its all about the people. not every company does it. and they fail more often them not in holding onto good talented hordworking people. Now, i am not naive and think there wont be difficult days , but i know that when an employee feels good about the company they work for, those difficult days become that much more managable. Aside from the training ive received so far, i also got work gear, such as a new pair of antislip shoes, laptop tote, gloves , knee pads etc. i have my schedule for the next three weeks and know who my trainer will be and where to report to each morning. i am not feeling at all left out in the cold , but instead well taken care of, which will make me wear my frito lay logo even more proudly .And, no , no one paid me to write this. :)thought id take the time to share my thoughts with others going through training at a new job or looking for a new career. thank you frito lay for hiring me. you wont be dissapointed.

Cons

only con was that it took some time for the background check and pre- employment type tasks, but obviously, some things are in the hands of third party companies.

Pros

Great pay Holiday pay Raises They have nice outings for employees You get free Pepsi merchandise Overtime is available Good work out Teaches you good networking skills This is definitely a great company to work for it all depends what facility you work for and who are your supervisors. But even that does not take away from PepsiCo as a whole. The job really is not that hard if your use to doing labor intensive jobs.

Cons

Not guaranteed off time. No work/personal life balance Merchandisers get treated with little respect by sales reps, and store mangers. Unrealistic productivity times Favoritism at the facility I worked out of, if the managers like you personally they would give you smaller stores to work and allow you to have a normal work schedule so you can have an outside life.
